Hank Billings is a native of Del Rio, Texas. After graduating high school in 1994 he moved to
Arizona and then to Florida, until moving to College Station, Texas in 1996. During his time as a
student at Texas A&M, Hank Billings came into his own as a songwriter while performing at local
bars, college functions, frat parties, and just about anywhere else he could. After graduating from
Texas A&M in 2001, he traveled and played over a period of five years through Virginia, Florida,
and Hawaii. He has just returned to Texas and is currently residing in San Angelo.
Describing his music, "I'd say it gives you the feeling of throwing a rock through your ex-girlfriend's
windshield, and then running away like you stole something." A mix of country, folk, rock, and Jim
Beam, his music has a style that anyone can relate to. Songs written by Hank Billings describe
heartfelt struggles, tell stories of pain, regret, and victory, and will cause you to laugh, cry, and
think. Hank Billings has released three albums over the last 6 years, “Drunk and Disorderly”, “Out
of State Extras”, and “Loozer of the Year”. In January of 2007 he combined these three recordings
into one album of his favorite songs in order to give first time listeners a larger library of music to
enjoy. This new album is called “On My Way”.
Loving to perform, it is rare for Hank Billings to play for less than three hours or even take a break.
It is well known among family, friends, and fans that he is at his best when performing with nothing
but a microphone and a guitar. The audience at a Hank Billings performance will find themselves
having a conversation with the artist, in the middle of the show. And on most occasions, at the end
of a show, there will be few members of the audience not on a first name basis with the artist.
Having been back in Texas for only a few months, Hank Billings has performed numerous acoustic
shows in San Angelo, Del Rio, and College Station. In addition to this he was a featured artist in
both the 2007 San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo and the 2007 Northgate Music Festival in
College Station, Texas.
Do not miss this dynamic performer and singer/songwriter when he comes to your town!
